Spend Some Time at a Lakefront Cottage in Michigan this Fall

10/26/2020

Fall, or autumn as some call it, is a transitional and very beautiful season for the people of Michigan. While most people think of renting a lakefront cottage in Michigan during the summer, fall is a great option, as well.

For one, Gravel Lake’s water is not yet frozen, so fishing and boating (maybe forget the swimsuit) can still be a lot of fun. There is also almost nothing that is more “Pure Michigan” than having smores, food, and drinks in the crisp air around a warm fire.

And, let us not forget the absolute beauty that is the changing of the leaves! There is almost no better way to view all of the colors of the leaves in the trees than on a lake -- especially on a calm day when the water is like glass reflecting all of the beautiful colors. And, while Northern Michigan gets most of the acclaim and attention for its fall colors, Southwest Michigan has a lot to offer, as well.

While 2020 has been a year for the ages, consider taking your family on a trip to remember this fall at Happy Rock Resort lakefront cottages in Michigan on gorgeous Gravel Lake in Lawton.
